These practice areas focus on the foundational skills many apprenticeship programs and trade assessments expect. These are educational practice resources, not official exams.

Trade Math

Whole numbers, percentages, ratios, formulas, and the arithmetic used on the job every day.

Fractions & Decimals

Adding, subtracting, converting, and using fractions and decimals in real trade situations.

Measurements & Conversions

Tape measures, rulers, calipers, unit conversions, area, volume, and common job-site measurements.

Basic Algebra

Solving for unknowns, simple equations, and formulas used in trade math and technical work.

Reading Comprehension

Reading technical instructions, safety documents, and specifications accurately and carefully.

Mechanical Reasoning

Gears, pulleys, levers, force, and understanding how mechanical systems behave.

Tool Recognition

Identify common hand and power tools and understand what each one is used for.
